March 15, 2012

Colton was off to school this morning, but Levi and mom were very busy in his absence.  First, Levi went to the doctor for his 2-month appointment.  He now weighs 11 pounds, 6 ounces and measures 22.5 inches (which means technically he shrunk a half inch, but we're guessing it's more the result of some over eager stretching last month!).  Other than that, the doctor confirmed that everything looked just perfect with our boy, and then he handled his shots like a champ.  After the doctor, he was off to meet mom' friend Mary for some lunch, although he slept through the whole thing (presumably a result of his shots).  Levi continued sleeping as he headed to pick up Colton from school and then as Colty came home to play in the sprinklers in the back yard.   Levi eventually woke up to join in on the fun and then played with his brother some before they both took their naps.

March 14, 2012

Colton and Levi had an awesome day in Va. Beach's fantastic weather.  They started it off with the normal trip to the JCC and then met Nene at the beach.  Colton LOVED it...digging in the sand, filling buckets, running on the dunes, etc.  Levi didn't quite realize what was going on but enjoyed getting his toes in the sand for the first time.  After all that fun, they were happy to join mom and dad for dinner outside at AJ Gators.

March 13, 2012

The boys woke up from good night sleeps again (yay!) ready to take on their days. For Colton that meant a day at school, including picture day at which he was supposedly quite the star. Despite a rough 20 minutes or so, Levi had a good time hanging out with mom. With beautiful weather hanging around again, the boys spent the majority of their afternoon outside, including a family walk (yep dad and chipper too) after dinner.

March 12, 2012

Colton and Levi both seem to be adjusting quite well to Daylight Savings...Levi slept a whole 6 hours last night (!) and Colton slept in until 7:45 (!!).  Mom was quite excited if you can't tell:)  Being fully rested, the boys set out on their regular Monday routine: JCC, errands (where they both got outfits for Colton's upcoming birthday party!), and then home to play outside in the beautiful weather.  In their pictures, Levi is holding on to the balloon his brother was kind enough to share with him and Colton is standing next to the block tower he worked very hard building and was very proud to show off!

March 10-11, 2012

Colton and Levi had a pretty relaxing weekend.  Saturday they spent their morning visiting Nene and Papa while dad was working the home show.  At night, they ended up having dinner at Atlas Diner (after striking out at a few other places).

On Sunday, the boys hung around the house for most of the morning before joining mom for a few quick errands and some outdoor play time.  At night, the whole family enjoyed dinner at Outback before coming home to head to bed (which hopefully won't be an issue with Daylight Savings...fingers crossed!).

March 9, 2012

The boys started off their day with a trip to the JCC and then were off for some fun at the Bounce House, where Colton finally got a little braver and actually attempted the jumping houses.  Afterwards, they returned home for some more play time and brotherly bonding!  Once dad was home, they enjoyed family dinner at CP Shuckers.

March 8, 2012

trying to be like dada!
As per usual for a Thursday, Colton started off his day at school while Levi joined mom at home.  Colton got out of school early (for Purim we think), and good thing too, because it gave him the opportunity to meet Nene at Kids Cove for some play time.  Colton had a blast, especially on the swings, but was definitely worn out by the time we headed home for his nap.  Levi has been busy practicing his tummy time (he is really good at picking his head up now, but seems to have no interest in rolling over), and is very chatty these days!
