Day 313

Well, Colton had a rough start to the day today...he got kicked out of the babysitter's house because she was worried he was still contagious.  He didn't really seem to mind, though, as he got to go spend some time with mom at school and then dad came to pick him up and take him home.  Despite her concerns, Colton does seem to be getting better, so we are hoping this thing will be gone soon.  In the meantime, Colton had a little impromptu photo session in the bathtub, and because mom can't pick just one, here are his shots:

Day 312

Still feeling a little poopy (pun totally intended), Colton stayed home all day again today.  He did manage to make it out for dinner at the Outback with mom and dad.  Clearly, his appetite is not effected by this bug as he managed to eat almost a whole loaf of the "chocolate bread."  Mom and dad are really hoping little man can kick this thing completely soon...

Days 310 and 311

unfortunately, he has grown very accustomed to his medicine

Colton apologizes for the absence of a post yesterday...mom's camera battery had died, so no photos could be uploaded.  Today, though, he promises to make up for it!  Colton is still not at 100%, but is clearly feeling a lot better than earlier in the week.  Because of that, he is still trying to take it easy.  He did manage to make it to the ODU basketball game.  He enjoyed the whole thing...his time in the Big Blue room before the game, the actual game, and dinner out with everyone afterwards.

Day 309

Hallelujah!!! Colton finally seems to have beaten his flu/strep throat combo.  Mom is super excited to have not changed a poopy diaper since 8:30 this morning (sorry if that's too much info for you, but it's very exciting around these parts).  Colton and mom even managed to get out for a bit today and picked Colton up a new walker that he has had fun scooting around on.  As promised, Colton took his 10 month portraits today, and as usual, he was so stinking cute (pardon his hair...he was going for that fresh out of bed look) that mom couldn't pick just one, so...

Day 308

Colton was still not feeling good today.  In fact, today was a little worse than yesterday:(  Luckily, he seemed to be improving again by the end of the day, so we're hoping maybe one more day will finally kick this thing away!  He did get a nice surprise visit from his Aunt Debbie (obviously the Va. Beach one) who was nice enough to see if little man or mom needed anything and to come by to keep them compnay.
Because he was not at 100%, we did not take Colton's 10 month portrait today (we will aim for tomorrow), but he is 10 months old already.  At 10 months, Colton is a ball of energy, constantly exploring and getting into mischief: the oven drawer, the refrigerator, Chipper's food, the liquor bottles, etc.  He laughs at "no," which obviously does not bode well for the future.  We have discovered a tickle spot under Colton's arms, where he giggles in delight.  Colton also loves his baths and his brother, Chipper: both bring huge smiles to his face.  Colton is an absolutely perfect baby:)

Day 307

Colton spent the day at home, resting and getting better.  He was certainly in much better spirits than yesterday, and spent a good part of the day playing.  But he is also clearly not at 100% yet either, napping for longer and not quite ready to eat yet.  Meme did stop by to bring him some more Pedialyte and diapers, so that was a bit of excitement and as always, seeing his brother brought a smile to his face every time!

Days 305 and 306

Sunday, Colton rested up all day getting ready for the Steelers game.  He didn't make it long into the game due to its late start time, but was excited when mom woke him up to tel him the Steelers had made it to the Super Bowl!!!
Sadly, Colton woke up today feeling pretty crummy, though.  Mom stayed home with him and took him to the doctor.  He has strep throat and the flu.  After running around town to pick up his medicines, he has been spending the rest of his night resting.  We are hoping baby boy feels much better soon
