Year 2, Days 124 and 125

Colton has been busy enjoying his weekend.  On Saturday, he spent time with dad while mom went out with Aunt KC and Aunt Genna for pedicures and lunch to celebrate Aunt KC's birthday.  At night, the birthday celebration continued when Colton joined Aunt KC and some friends for dinner at Geisha, a Japanese steakhouse.  He loved the fire and loud noises (thankfully), and thought the fried rice was pretty darn good too.
On Sunday, Colton started his day off by running a couple errands with mom and dad.  During his nap, Dad went out for a little golf, so when Colton woke up, he headed to the mall with mom and Aunt Genna.  After a bit of shopping, he was happy to stop and have some Mexican for dinner followed by his first ice cream cone, a perfect Colton-sized one from Rita's.

Year 2, Day 123

Colton spent his day at his (and mom's) first official play group.  This one was held at a pool, so Colton was right at home and seemed to have a good time playing (although he didn't interact much with the other kids!).  At night, he joined mom, dad, and Uncle Jordan for dinner at the Wild Wing and learned one of his brother's favorite tricks: using the sofa to get on to the kitchen counters.

Year 2, Day 122

Colton spent his morning with Meme while mom was dealing with a super long doctor's appointment (no worries...everything looks perfect...they were just running very late!).  When mom finally met up with him, they headed to the beach and pool for a bit.  The idea was to come home and take a nap, but Colton clearly rejected that idea today and instead hung out for the afternoon.  When dad got home, the family headed to dinner at AJ Gator's where Colton enjoyed the grilled cheese and Michael Jackson tunes (he was totally rocking out!).

Year 2, Day 121

Since mom has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, Colton had to have his activity day today.  Mom whipped out the sprinkler, pools, popsicles, and other fun water toys so Colton could enjoy a backyard water day:

Year 2, Day 120

Colton was happy to have a little relief from the super hot weather today and promptly hit the beach/pool to celebrate.  He had a good time playing (until that darn doggy left him) and then took a good nap.  When he woke up, he was very excited to have his first Skype session with Papa Sr! and then enjoy a pizza dinner with mom and dad.  He finished off the night by watching the beginning of the Braves/Pirates baseball game...I'm thinking we may have a little Pirates fan over here (shhh...don't tell his daddy!)

Year 2, Day 119

Colton spent his Monday in typical fashion: running to the JCC, Target, and the Teeter.  Once home, he had a nice lunch with mom and then spent some quality play time.  He even enjoyed some time at his favorite game: nosediving off mom and dad's headboard.

Year 2, Days 117 and 118

Colton had a very busy and social Saturday.  He started it off bright and early with a trip to Meme and Papa's house and a walk across the street for some Starbucks.  He came back home for a bit and then went to meet mom's old friend, Beth, for a nice lunch at Baker's Crust.  He came back home for a nap and then joined a bunch of ladies (10 to be exact!) for dinner, while dad was at a Dadchelor party!  Phew...after all that socializing, Colton decided to take his Sunday pretty easy.  He spent the day at the house playing and then headed to dinner at Surf Rider with mom and dad.

Year 2, Day 116

After running a couple errands with mom, Colton was forced inside once again due to the crazy hot temperatures.  After his nap, he hit the shower (one of his new favorite games) and then spent some time with Aunt Genna.  She was over to go out to dinner with mom and some friends, so Colton got to spend the evening at home with the boys!

Year 2, Day 115

Another Thursday, another field trip day...this time, Colton was off to the Virginia Aquarium, a good thing on this ridiculously hot day.  Colton LOVED the aquarium, especially the turtles.  Although, he did not enjoy his brief run-in with the alligator!

Year 2, Day 114

With super hot weather hanging around Va. Beach, Colton was stuck running some errands with mom and then hanging out inside for the day.  Luckily, Colton is pretty good at entertaining himself these days (though not independently mind you...mom usually has to be involved!), so he didn't seem to mind.  After his bath, Colton went for usual streak around the house...mom couldn't resist catching a few photos of that cute little tan line/tuchus running around...enjoy!

Year 2, Day 113

After some complications with our expected beach trip today, Colton ended up at Meme's house to use her pool for the afternoon.  Surprisingly, he really enjoyed it, especially the stairs and was totally entertained until it was time to head home for his nap.  After his nap, he stayed home with mom, dad, Chipper, and his collection of animal friends!

Year 2, Day 112

After waking up at 3AM ready to play (note to mom and dad: do not change Colton's nap time unless absolutely necessary), Colton had a pretty uneventful day.  He made his daily trip to the JCC and then joined mom at the fabric store and the Teeter.  Afterwards, Colton headed home to enjoy his family and his new favorite game of "where's Colton?"  Here's a glimpse of how the game goes:

Year 2, Days 110 and 111

Colton has had a busy, but fun weekend.  On Saturday, he joined mom and the Kletz family at the beach.  He, then, met everyone for dinner at No Frill Grill.  Today mom was feeling a little beach burn-out, so instead Colton joined mom and dad at the Kids Cove park and then went for a quick visit to the Farmer's Market.  Once getting home, he had a really good time watching the girls' World Cup game (he mastered the USA cheer) and then played with mom and dad and ate a lovely dinner.
