Year 2, Days 275 and 276

As Friday will be the last day that Colton and mom had for one-on-one time it was reserved for a special Colton day.  He woke up and spent some time in bed with mom (and the iPad), then took Chipper for a walk, and finally was treated to some time at the Bounce House.  Colton was a little hesitant to jump at first, but warmed up, especially when dad surprised him by stopping by during his lunch.   After his nap, he headed to Norfolk for some dinner with Meme and Papa and then to watch the ODU basketball game (his first of the season).  He really enjoyed the game, clapping at all appropriate times and sitting in his own seat like a big boy for most of it.
Saturday was a much more low key day for Colton.  He spent the morning out looking at dressers, but then came home to relax for the rest of the day.  He joined mom and dad for a quick dinner at Wild Wing before coming home to sleep his way into 2012!

Year 2, Day 274

Happy Birthday Meme!  Today's events were centered around celebrating Meme's big day, starting with a quick errand to scope out a present for her and then meeting her (with Aunt Genna) at Catch 31 for the annual ladies champagne lunch (don't worry, mom didn't partake this year!).  Colton must have been so excited to continue the celebrating because he decided not to take a nap today and instead came and watched some tv in bed with mom.  Later, he joined all the Kletz family at Steinhibler's for dinner.

Year 2, Day 273

Mom had an oil change in the morning, so Aunt Genna (or Gigi as Colton now affectionately calls her!) was kind enough to meet us and take us out and about in Greenbrier.  Once the car was finally ready, Aunt Genna came back to the house to play outside with Colton's new slide and car with him.  He took his regular nap and then woke up to more playtime, some dinner, and his typical evening routine of a bath and Sesame Street.

Year 2, Day 272

Colton had a busy morning running errands with mom before he went a spent a few minutes with Meme while mom was at her (last!) doctor's appointment.  Once he was done there, he headed to the One Hour office to visit before going home for his nap.  After naptime, he played in his playroom (he has so many new toys down there it's often hard to pick!) and then ate some dinner and celebrated the final night of Hanukkah with mom and dad.

Year 2, Day 271

Colton woke up excited to find Dad here with an added day off.  To celebrate, he spent most of the morning just hanging out around the house with everyone (note the brotherly love in the picture...again, in our house we tend to snap a picture before correcting inappropriate behavior...we are aware this does not bode well for the future!).  Eventually, he ran a quick errand with mom and then grabbed lunch with mom and dad.  When he got home, he took his nap and then got ready to join Uncle Jordan and Aunt Stephanie for Uncle Jordan's birthday dinner at Yard House.

Year 2, Day 270

Merry Christmas!  Instead of telling you about Colton's day (let's just say it involved a lot of excitement and gift opening/playing), we'll just share the fun pictures

Year 2, Day 269

Well, Colton appeared to be feeling just fine, but nonetheless was up from about 1-4AM for some reason.  When he later woke up for the morning, he again seemed fine, but mom was definitely struggling after her interrupted sleep!  Luckily, Meme and Aunt Genna were nice enough to come over and help entertain Colton for the morning while mom was dragging a bit!  After a nap, everyone was refreshed and headed off to Wild Wing for dinner with Uncle Jordan.  On the way home, Colton stopped to look at Christmas lights on a nearby street and then came home to do his Hanukkah for the night...a doodle board from Meme and Papa and puzzle from Aunt Erin and Uncle Drew!

Year 2, Day 268

Colton spent the first part of his morning at Aunt Genna's place while mom got her hair cut.  Afterwards, he joined the girls for a little bit of shopping (what should be the last of it!) and some lunch at Baker's Crust.  After coming home and taking his afternoon nap, he took his new wagon for a quick test ride and then headed to Norfolk for Mexican dinner and the ODU basketball game.  Unfortunately, that's where the night's plans got a bit derailed, as Colton got sick when he got in the car to head to the game.  We're thinking he just choked a bit (he was mad and crying and started coughing), as he was in a very good mood the rest of the night, even getting into a little mischief with his brother and the sink while mom was on the phone with Meme who was checking in on Colton (yes, in our family we stop to take a picture before disciplining!)

Year 2, Day 267

Colton woke up and promptly began playing with all of his Hanukkah goodies from last night...he seriously could not make up his mind as to which one to play with!  After running a couple of errands with mom, he came home to continue playing and then light the menorah again for the second night of Hanukkah.  He got some books from mom and dad, a laptop (a Leap Frog one, not an actual one!) from Meme and Papa, and the big hit was his wagon from Papa Sr.  Colton played with his other toys while dad put the wagon together and then was anxious to take it for a spin (in the house of course!).

Year 2, Day 266

Happy Hanukkah!  After spending his morning with Meme while mom (and dad!) headed to the doctor to check in on baby Levi (who seems to be just hanging in there perfectly, although we're still hoping he decides to make his grand appearance a bit earlier than his scheduled date), Colton came home to make a marshmallow menorah and get ready for the Hanukkah party at Meme and Papa's at night.  As usual, our little boy had a blast surrounded by his aunts, uncles, friends, and lots and lots of love!  Plus, he is totally and completely spoiled rotten, receiving more presents than is necessary, especially since it's only the first night of Hanukkah and he still has all 8 to go plus Christmas!  It was neat to watch Colton get into actually opening the presents this year when last year he didn't really seem to grasp the concept!
