As Colton and Levi spent another day snowed in, mom was very pleasantly surprised to find that they were pretty darn good most of the day!  Of course, they had plenty of entertainment: making snowflakes (both paper and crystal ones), building a fort (and playing in it throughout the day), heading out in the snow (for a whole hour this time...and Levi even liked it!), trying out homemade snow cones (big hit with both boys!), and finishing off the day with some hot chocolate (something Colton now thinks is a critical part of a snow day...and that Levi finally realized he actually likes!).

Another Wednesday, another snow day...this time with 8 inches (and maybe even a little more) on the ground!  Colton and Levi were old pros this time, though, and really enjoyed being out there...at least for a little bit!  They really loved bringing Chipper out to play with him (and the neighbor's dogs) and riding on the tobbagon their friend Grayson had gotten just for the big snow!

January 25-26, 2014

Colton and Levi had a fun-filled weekend!  On Saturday, they spent their morning at the movies with mom and dad.  When they got home, they convinced dad to play in the snow for a bit before heading in for their naps.  Once they woke up, the boys headed over to gammy and pops's house for a few hours while mom and dad got out for some date time.

On Sunday, Colton and Levi joined mom and dad out for breakfast and then paid a visit to nene and papas new house.  After naps, they capped off their weekend with a fun birthday party at the bounce house!

After being cooped up for their snow day, Colton and Levi were anxious to get out if the house.  They spent Thursday at the field house playing with a bunch of their friends and today at chuck e cheese (with a stop at chik fil a for lunch).  At night, they did their usual and met uncle Gregg for dinner at wild wing.

SNOW DAY!!!  The boys woke up very excited to see some snow on the ground...about 3.5 inches to be precise!  As a result, Colton and Levi spent the day around the house doing lots of fun snow stuff (snowman pancakes, snow painting, snow ice cream, and hot chocolate (of course)) and generally just hanging around.  It was bitterly cold, but the boys did manage to make it outside for a little bit to throw some snowballs with Nene and Gigi, make snow angels and sunflowers (coltonese for on your belly snow angels), and play with Grayson across the street.
