March 29-30, 2012

Colton and Levi have been busy getting ready for Colton's big birthday party this weekend, which unfortunately means mom has also been terrible about taking pictures of the boys.  Despite all the cleaning/errand running/baking that has been going on, both boys were super happy today to head over to Nene and Papa's house to see Big Papa and Doris who had arrived from Florida.  Levi was excited to meet his great grandfather.  Colton took a bit to warm up, but after a dinner spent with Papa giving him bread, Cokes, and tickles, Colton was obviously happy as well!

March 28, 2012

Colton and Levi started off their day at the JCC and then came home to meet nene who was watching Levi while mom took Colton to the doctor for his 2-year old checkup. Colty checked out perfectly, still maintaining his spot in the fifth percentile:). Once he was done, mom and Colton got lunch out together before returning home for some outdoor playtime. At night, dad was out with a friend so mom, Colton, and Levi got some chipotle together

March 27, 2012

Colton continued his birthday celebrating by bringing in cupcakes for his classmates today.  According to his teachers, he really enjoyed them (must get that from his mommy!).  While he was there, Levi joined mom on some errands to get ready for Colton's birthday party this weekend.  Once school was over, the afternoon was spent at home.  Colton enjoyed playing with all his new toys, especially his new Sesame Street playhouse that arrived today from Aunt Debbie and Uncle Tony.  Meanwhile, Levi worked really hard on his "superbaby" pose (and being really, really close to rolling over!)...which, of course, Colton had to show he could do as well.  They were also excited to get a surprise visit from Aunt Debbie (the Va. Beach one).

Colton: Age 2

At age 2, it is safe to say that Colton is an amazing little boy.  He fills our days with so much happiness.  Colton is a ball of energy that is always on the move.  He loves to explore and play...if he's outside, he's usually collecting sticks or pulling his wagon around the yard and if he's inside, he connecting his train tracks, playing with his blocks.  If the tv is on one of his shows, though, this boy will stop dead in his tracks to watch it, or jumping off the furniture.  Colton gives the sweetest kisses, says "help" and "no" incessantly, and loves to rile up Chipper.  He is a happy boy, smiling often and has the most infections giggle ever, which luckily we get to hear frequently.  Colton is a special boy...handsome and sweet and funny and loving.  We can't wait to see what the next year will bring for him.

Happy, happy birthday to our sweet Colton!  He had a wonderful day surrounded by those who love him most (and some yummy food!).  His morning started off with some cake batter pancakes before he headed to the JCC.  There, he got a wonderful surprise when Nene showed up to see him there.  Next, Levi and Colton stopped by the One Hour office to visit and then ran a couple of errands (including picking up Colton's birthday gifts).  At night, the boys were happy to have Nene, Papa, Grandma, Aunt Genna, and Jimmy over for dinner, presents, and cake.  And as you probably guessed, we have tons of pictures to show you of all the fun:

March 23-25, 2012

The boys have enjoyed a fantastic and busy weekend.  On Friday, they headed to get Colton's haircut and then met one of mom's friends for lunch.  At night, they joined Nene, Papa, Gigi, and Uncle Jordan and Aunt Stephanie for dinner and drinks outside at CP Shuckers.  Saturday was spent running a couple of errands, and then while Colton napped, Levi joined mom at a baby shower to meet his friend Waid (who was born just 5 days after him).  At night, they stayed home with their grandmother while mom and dad went out with some friends for mom's birthday celebration.  And Sunday, Colton and Levi were excited to spend the morning at the Aquarium and then at lunch with mom and dad.  The rest of the day was spent hanging around the house, although Colton did take time to help mom make his birthday cake (ie: lick the batter from the spoon).
And for the most exciting news of the weekend....Levi has managed to sleep through the night 2 nights in a row (7 hours, then 8!!!), so fingers crossed...
