June 29-30, 2012

With temperatures at or near 100 for the last couple of days, Colton and Levi have been busy trying to stay cool!  On Friday, both boys were excited to spend their day at the pool.  Levi even liked it, and Colton had a blast kicking, blowing bubbles, and "jump out."  At night, Colton and Levi joined mom, dad, Gigi, and Jimmy for dinner at Wild Wing.
On Saturday, the boys spent their day at the beach...where luckily even Levi seemed to get on board and enjoy the experience.  At night, the boys went to PF Changs with mom and dad.

June 27-28, 2012

Levi and Colton have been busy enjoying their summer the last couple of days. On Wednesday, the boys went down to town point park for the fountain field days. Colton enjoyed the craft and bubbles, but honestly the fountains were a bit of a bust as he wouldn't even go near them! Levi enjoyed just hanging out and watching his big brother.
On Thursday, Colton spent the day at nene and papas house enjoying some quality one-on-one time with them in the pool and with a milkshake lunch. For his part, Levi seemed very excited to get mom (and chippers) undivided attention!

June 26, 2012

Colton and Levi joined mom, Nene, and mom's friend Kristina at the beach today.  Colton loved it as usual, but Levi finally did much better today.  We actually figured out that Levi was a big fan of the hot tub (don't worry, it wasn't actually hot...more warm).  The boys spent the rest of their evening at home relaxing with mom, dad, and Chipper.

June 25, 2012

After Levi successfully slept through the whole night (8PM-6:45AM!!!! Yay!!!), Colton and Levi spent some time with Nene this morning while mom took Chipper to the vet to make sure his upset belly wasn't anything too serious (it's not!).  Afterwards, the boys quickly joined mom for the weekly errands and then came back home for the rest of the day.

PS: You may not be able to tell that in the picture mom and Colton are having a "Lady and the Tramp" moment, sharing a noodle...and he's helping to feed Levi in the other:)

June 23-24, 2012

Colton and Levi had a good weekend, although pretty uneventful for their standards!  On Saturday, the boys spent the evening with Gigi since mom had another party to set up (and this time dad was one of the guests).  On Sunday, the boys had some quality time with their daddy while mom was out with Gigi (to repay her for aforementioned babysitting).  At night, the boys joined mom and dad for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  Throughout the weekend, the boys have certainly been having a blast playing with each other.  Levi is absolutely fascinated by Colton (and Chipper) and belly laughs frequently at their antics.  For his part, Colton seems to really be enjoying the fact that his brother is more lively and enjoys egging him on (as you can see in the video of them playing together).  On another note, we are pretty confident Levi's first tooth is beginning to poke through...let the teething adventures begin!

June 22, 2012

The highlight of today was heading to Nene's pool for some fun.  Colton was thrilled to have his very own swim sweater and be able to do some swimming on his own.

For his part, Levi seemed to enjoy this:
Much more than this:

June 21, 2012

The brothers are certainly becoming good buddies!  Today, they ran a couple of errands with mom and then came home to play in their new pool for a little bit.  As you can see, both Colton and Levi were thrilled that Levi could now ride in the cool steering wheel carts at the grocery store...and their cuteness managed to attract lots of attention (I swear, every single person in the store commented on them as we walked by!).

June 20, 2012

Colton woke up jumping on his bed chanting "wa park!"  I think it is definitely safe to say someone was excited for his trip today.  Despite his initial enthusiasm, Colton had a rough start at the park, crying and clinging to mom for the first hour.  After a yummy hot dog lunch, though, he did a total 180 and LOVED the water park just like mom thought he would.  It's hard to say what his favorite part was...he definitely liked all the slides and was very content floating in the lazy river (he even managed to answer "yes" for the first time ever when mom asked him if he wanted to go again!).  Overall, it was a very successful day.
For his part, Levi had a good time playing at Nene's house while mom and Colton were at the water park.  It may also be time to officially say that Levi is sitting up on his own.  While he still has a slight lean and still tries to eat his toes while up (which results in some crazy flexible poses), he certainly has mastered the balance part of it and can even look around while sitting.

June 19, 2012

In what is becoming all too familiar, Colton and Levi were champs again as they accompanied mom through a series of errands.  At least this time they were treated to a stop at the park and lunch out with Gigi afterwards.  The rest of the day was spent at home trying to get Levi to roll over from his stomach to back and dealing with Colton's disappointment that his trip to "wa park" (water park) isn't  until tomorrow.

June 18, 2012

Colton and Levi had a typical busy Monday running errands with mom.  They were good sports, but were happy to get home and have some room to run/roll around (depending on the boy).

June 16-17, 2012

The boys enjoyed celebrating Father's Day with Dad this weekend.  On Saturday, Dad went to play golf with Nene, Papa, and Uncle Ryan, so Colton and Levi spent some time with KC while mom was setting up a party.  When the golf and party were done, the boys met up with everyone at Zia Maries for dinner.
On Sunday, Colton and Levi surprised Dad with some gifts in bed and then met Nene, Papa, Ry, C, and Gigi for brunch and more gift-giving (well giving some to Papa, and Dad getting some from Nene and Papa).  After stopping by the mall on the way home, the boys returned home to spend the evening there.  Uncle Jordan, Stephanie, and Gavin stopped by to join them for dinner, and Colton had a good time showing off as the oldest!

part of Dad's Father's Day gift, but we figured you'd want to see the portraits!

June 15, 2012

After a long week of errand-running with Mom, Colton and Levi were excited to spend their Friday at the pool!  It was a little chilly, but Colton loved playing in the water and even gained some very valuable sharing skills along the way.  At night, the boys went over to their grandparents' house for an early Father's Day celebration.

June 14, 2012

After their daily JCC trip, the boys joined mom for a couple of errands and a much-deserved trip to the park.  As usual, Colton was thrilled to get to climb and slide, and both boys enjoyed the swings, especially the tire swing that Colton tried out for the first time (Levi just watched that adventure!).  After their naps, Colton and Levi were excited to see Gigi had stopped by for a visit.  And because mom couldn't quite decide which picture of Levi is cuter (he's becoming quite the looker!), here's two!

June 13, 2012

Colton and Levi joined mom for some quick errands today after going to the JCC.  They were so good during their time out that the man at the store even commented (of course, Colton's "pop" he was still working on that was given to him by the security guard at the JCC certainly helped that cause!).  Once they were done, the boys were eager to return home and play.  At night, the boys joined mom and dad for dinner at AJ Gators.

June 12, 2012

After their morning trip to the JCC, Colton and Levi were off to Gigi's classroom to help out/join in on her class party.  The boys were definitely a hit with all the kids (and adults!) and enjoyed their time visiting.  The rest of their day was spent at home, but they were surprised with a visit from their grandmother before dinner.  And Colton made another big boy move today as we officially took the rails off his bed!
