Colton ventured off to school today,while Levi enjoyed his alone time with mom! After Colton was picked up, the boys came home to play there for the rest of the day. As evidence of his stellar sharing skills, Colton is feeding "Dee" one of his goldfish in his picture. And in his picture, Levi is showing off how super his eating skills have gotten...note the lack of mess on his face...and that's at the end of the bowl!!!
An exhausted Colton started off his day at school, while Levi joined mom for a quick errand and then spent the rest of his morning at home. Once Colton was picked up, the boys headed right home and just chilled until nap time. When the boys were back up (and Colton finally seemed well-rested!), they spent some time playing outside before dinner and then got cleaned up and ready for bed for the night.
Today's Memorial Day was spent at the beach (of course!). Colton loved every minute of the sand, ocean, pool, and hot tub fun, while Levi was not as receptive...we will make a beach boy out of him by the end of the summer! Both boys did enjoy the cookout at Nene and Papa's house afterwards and were both totally worn out by the time they got home (although Colton seemed to get a second wind after his bath and is still up in bed reading as we type this!)
After getting their start at the JCC this morning, Colton and Levi headed down to get Colton's hair cut. Colton recognized where he was as soon as we pulled into the parking lot...giving us a "cut" and "choo-choo" (they have a train table inside) to let us know! Colton did an awesome job getting his hair cut, probably because he knew it was time for a "pop" at the end...and Levi did an awesome job hanging out with Mom. Colton stopped by the One Hour office on his way home to show his new do to Dada and Ry and then came home to rest up. At night, Colton and Levi met Gigi and Jimmy at Wild Wing for dinner out on the patio.
Colton started off his day at school while Mom and Levi ran some errands. After school, Colton headed for his final swim lesson. At the end, Colton got his first report card. It checked off the skills he has acquired and said he has made really good progress! Now we'll just have to wait for summer camp to start to take some more. Once that was done, Colton got a very special treat (an Oreo blizzard) and then the boys headed home for the rest of the day. On a side note, Levi's picture for today is the sight Mom is greeted to when she goes to get him first thing in the morning..except there's a big ole grin to go with it (the camera kind of scared it off his face this morning!).
Colton was off to school today (sadly he doesn't have very many left!) while mom and Levi stayed home to conquer some things around the house. After Colton was done, everyone came home to do some playing...outside before naptime and then inside afterwards considering there were some crazy thunderstorms going on! Colton is really enjoying his puzzles lately, while Levi is a rolling over machine...the boy won't stay still!
PS: We promise this will be the last Levi eating picture for awhile but he's just so darn cute (and messy!) while doing it.
Colton and Levi were pretty good sports (Levi was an excellent sport...Colton has started showing some of those dreaded "terrible two" signs) today as they ran a few errands with mom to get ready for the One Hour picnic this weekend. Luckily, one stop was Toys R' Us and while there, Colton was excited to get a new sprinkler for the backyard that he promptly tried out once we got home! Levi spent most of his day eating! This boy is certainly loving all the new things he gets to taste, although carrots still seem to be his favorite! He even seems to think he can feed himself, but that just tends to lead to big messes!
