Colton and Levi hung out with dad this morning as mom was busy setting up a birthday party.  In the afternoon, they, too, made the birthday party rounds...first hitting up Camden's party and then stopping by Maisy's where Colton indulged in his first jello shot (don't worry...it was totally alcohol-free!).

October 4-5, 2012

On Thursday, Colton and Levi made their way through some errands with mom and then met their Aunt Debbie and cousin Quiana for some lunch.  After lunch, they stopped by dad's office to do some visiting and then came home for their (much needed) naps.  At night, they went out to dinner at Outback with mom and dad.
On Friday, Colton started his day off at school while Levi explored the dishwasher contents so mom could get some birthday party stuff ready.  Once Colton was picked up, the boys had some play time, took some naps, and then got ready...they spent an exciting night at the Ted watching the Sesame Street Live show.  While both boys LOVED the actual show (Levi may have even been more into it than Colton, at least for the first few minutes!), we have learned that Colton most definitely does not like seeing the characters up close, hence his hesitance in the first few pictures.

Levi: Month 9

Yep, Levi has hit the big 9 month mark!  (and yes it was technically yesterday, but we couldn't capture a good picture, so we tried again today while Colton was at school...SUCCESS!)

At 9 months, Levi:

• loves to explore...he crawls and pulls up easily these days and spends his time getting into everything
• can go up and down the steps in the house
• eats real food and aside from cottage cheese has yet to find anything he doesn't love!
• got 5 new teeth over the month (although 1 is just starting to poke through)
• thinks his brother is the funniest person alive and wants to play with him constantly
• also has a special fondness for his "dee" (his lovey) and doggy brother 
• is a cuddler
• loves to make mischief by getting into the dog bowls (and trying to eat the dog food)
• thinks bath time is the highlight of the day
• uses diaper changes as an opportunity to practice for his future wrestling career, attempting to escape mom's pins at every opportunity
• is a really amazing baby boy!

Colton was back at school today, and Levi was back to hanging out with mom...running errands and getting some stuff done at home.  Once Colton was picked up, the boys headed on a secret trip but that secret was quickly spoiled when Colton recognized "Gigi's school" upon entering the parking lot.  Even though the plan was just to get something out of the car, Colton insisted we go in to see Gigi and even managed to sway the secretary (by having a breakdown) that he wanted to see "Gigi's classroom."  After a couple of minutes and saying hi to the students, the boys packed up and headed home for the rest of the day.

October 2, 2012

After taking a morning walk around the neighborhood (and luckily just beating the rain), Colton and Levi went to meet nene at the bounce house. Colton was in absolute heaven with all the slides, climbing, and jumping, and Levi had a blast crawling around and exploring. Afterwards, nene treated the boys (and mom) to panerra and then everyone headed home for the afternoon.

With no school and the jcc closed, Colton and Levi began their day running (well riding) at mt trashmore with mom. Afterwards, they ran a few errands and then came back home for the rest of the day.

Even though the Steelers had a bye this week, Colton and Levi headed up to Wild Wing to watch football with mom and dad.  Gigi and Jimmy joined everyone for lunch, but then were on their way.
