Year 2, Day 141

Although Colton was in quite the bad mood to start the day (maybe his worse ever!), he pushed through and ended up having a pretty good day.  He enjoyed swimming in the JCC pool with mom, especially because he met a fun friend (a girl nonetheless) who was only a couple weeks older than our little man and gave him his first official kiss!  Colton was clearly smitten and followed her around the entire time we were there.  After taking his afternoon nap, Colton woke up to Skype with Papa and Doris and then have dinner with mom and dad.

Year 2, Day 140

Colton had a busy day running errands with mom.  After his morning trip to the JCC, he helped mom pick out some stuff for the big gender reveal party later this week.  After all that running around, he came home and played/relaxed for the rest of the day.

Year 2, Day 139

Colton spent his Sunday running errands with mom and dad.  As usual, they did lots of looking but not much buying!  Aunt Genna was nice enough to call and offer to babysit so mom and dad could have a night out, so Colton spent his evening with her.  She was lucky to get to watch Colton's debut in his big boy booster seat...our little boy is growing up so fast!  Mom and dad got home with just enough time for some family bonding before bed.

Year 2, Day 138

Colton was happy his daddy was off today (and not golfing), so he could have a fun-filled family Saturday!  Mom and dad gave him a special treat by taking him down to the boardwalk for a little walk and giving him some play time at the Grommett Island Park.  Again, Colton was a HUGE fan of the slide...up and down, up and down, up and down the whole time.  After playing, Colton joined mom and dad out for a good lunch at Big Sam's.  After taking his afternoon nap, he got ready for dinner at Carrabba's and then stopped by dad's coworker's house for a little visiting.  Colton was pretty pooped though (and possibly teething), so he didn't stay long and was ready for bed.

Year 2, Day 137

Colton finally had a chance to catch up on his weekly field trips today after taking last week off.  This one turned out to be much more of a special treat for Chipper, though, as he got to join mom and Colton for a walk through Seashore State Park (I think it's technically called First Landing now).  All three enjoyed the trails, but were happy to get back to air condition and civilization!  Since we were passing by Meme and Papa's house on the way home, we decided to stop by for Chipper's first trip there and for a quick walk to the beach.  Afterwards, Colton couldn't resist a quick swim in his pool before heading home.  At night, Colton joined everyone for one last dinner with Uncle Gregg before he heads off to Elizabeth City, although we're hopeful we will be seeing quite a bit of him in the next few months!

Year 2, Day 136

Phew!  Today was another busy day for Colton.  After his morning trip to the JCC, he headed to the beach to enjoy the cooler temperatures.  Luckily, Uncle Gregg was there to play with him because the day turned out to not be very pretty.  Have no fear, though, once Colton left the beach for his pool on Meme's deck he had a blast!  Colton came home to take an afternoon nap, but clearly decided that was not a good idea as he chose to stay awake the entire time he should have slept.  After awhile, Mom got him out of the crib, they played with Colton's new friend the Steeler man, and then got ready to join Uncle Ryan, Aunt KC, Aunt Genna, and Uncle Gregg for dinner again.

Year 2, Day 135

Colton had another fun and eventful day.  After his morning trip to the JCC, he joined mom for a quick trip to the mall for a couple of things.  Since he was close to dad's work, he surprised him and took him out to lunch.  After an afternoon nap, Colton woke up to get ready for dinner with his Aunt Genna, Aunt KC, Uncle Ryan, and Uncle Gregg (and of course mom and dad).  After dinner, he enjoyed showing off and dancing for Uncle Gregg at home...he is proving to be quite the ham.
