Levi and Colton had quite the exciting Friday.  The boys started it off with their daily trip to the JCC and then ran a couple of errands.  Once home, though, the boys (well mainly just Colton ) had their first experience with dyeing eggs.  Colton really enjoyed it, although he just seemed to think he was supposed to play in the dye cups!!!  Afterwards, the boys hung out in the playroom and were kind enough to allow mom to watch the coverage of the plane crash in VB before taking their naps.  At night, they headed over to Nene and Papa's house for Passover Seder.

April 5, 2012

Colton started off his day with his last day of school before his Spring Break, while Levi hung out with mom.  Colton got out early, so mom and Levi picked him up, made a quick trip to Target, and then came home to play in the playroom.  After nap time (Levi did a lot of protesting, but did eventually fall asleep, so progress!), the boys  hung out a bit more before getting a visit from their grandparents who came by to drop off their Easter baskets.  

April 4, 2012

Today was a special day for the boys as they got to go to their first Easter Egg Hunt after their morning trip to the JCC.  While Levi didn't officially hunt, Colton immediately loved the concept, even digging into some eggs on the way there!  Really, though, he was quite the hunter and really enjoyed it.  Once home, the boys enjoyed some more outdoor play time before Colton took a nap (yeah, still no bueno on the nap front for Levi).  At night, the boys joined mom and dad for dinner at AJ Gator's.  

Levi: Month 3

Wow!  It is hard to believe another month has gone by with sweet Levi in our lives.  

At 3 months, Levi:

• smiles frequently, showing off the cutest dimples when he does
• is slowly losing his ring of hair from birth, leaving him with lovely bald spots
• is quickly growing hair on the top of his head finally!
• has discovered his thumb...and LOVES it!
• has rolled over, but is still not doing it consistently
• has slept through the night a couple of times, but again no consistency yet

Good news!!!  Levi managed to sleep through the night...10-6 to be exact!!!  With everyone well rested, Colton started off his day at school, while Levi stayed home to help mom get the house spring cleaned.  When mom came to pick Colton up, his teachers reported that he was running a slight fever, but we saw no evidence of said fever throughout the afternoon.  In fact, Colton had his buddy Savannah over some play time and had a blast playing with/tackling her (after he got over the fact that he had to share his toys).  Levi, meanwhile, was not in a very good mood for the afternoon, and refused to take a nap, which did not help his mood much!  Fingers crossed we have another restful night around here...

Colton and Levi were back at their daily routine today, returning to the JCC and then heading to both Target and the Teeter for their weekly roundup. Once home, Colton enjoyed his play time outside. With so many new toys to keep him busy, he couldn't quite seem to decide between his tunnel, "hoop" (his word), or his tee-ball set. Plus, he managed to entertain himself for 45 minutes taking water bottles out of the cooler, lining them up on the picnic table, and then running them back to the cooler! Meanwhile, Levi was busy smiling away at mom and sucking on his thumb, his new favorite activity! It must have worn him out, though, because he took his first official nap in his crib. At nap time nonetheless. Unfortunately, Colton chose today to only sleep for about an hour...proof these boys may already be conspiring against us! On a side note, Levi's picture is actually from Saturday, but Uncle Ryan just sent it to us and was very proud of Levi sporting his new Pirates hat...

What a fantastic ending to a fantastic weekend the boys had!  With Papa and Doris in town for one more day, Colton and Levi headed over to Nene and Papa's house as soon as they woke up.  They joined everyone for a nice brunch out at No Frill Grill and then headed home to take their naps.  Once they were up, they met Papa, Nene, Big Papa, and Doris at Havana for dinner.  Afterwards, the boys were treated to ice cream out with everyone before going home.  Overall, they had a great time spending time with Papa and Doris, especially Colton who really warmed up over the course of the weekend.
