April 19, 2012

Today was a big day in our house. After Colton's morning school day (and mom and Levi's trip to Target), Colton began swim lessons. He was a little hesitant (ok maybe a lot) to leave mom at first, but once she hid, he was very eager to show off his bubbles, kicking, and jumping. He is a little younger than the other kids in the class (it's for 2-3 year olds, and they are much closer to 3), but he seemed to keep up and follow directions appropriately! At night, he had another big first....one that dad was a little more excited about. Colton caught...like legitimately caught...a ball for the first time...and then again for the second time. Dad is convinced this is a story we will have to share with reporters one day when Colton is a famous athlete, especially after googling and finding out that children normally learn to catch around 3-4! Through all the excitement, Levi was a very good boy as usual. He has become such a sweet, happy baby, smiling frequently and rarely crying. It also helps that he seems to have finally learned to take naps (although we've probably just jinxed it!).
