July 19-20, 2014

Since the boys are busy with camp all week, we have little time to do "fun" stuff (well, besides the fun they're having at camp!).  Colton and Levi did manage to talk mom into a game of putt putt this week, and they also were very excited to dress up for jersey day at camp.  But come Saturday, our normal fun resumed!  The boys spent their day at the One Hour office hanging out with some new friends, while mom ran a Spouse Appreciation Day there.  Afterwards, they headed down to ODU and met Davy, Michelle, and Maisy plus Uncle Ryan, C, and Riley for a little concert, some face painting/balloons, and dinner. 

On Sunday, Colton and Levi were treated to a day at the Virginia Beach Amusement Park.  They were super excited to get to ride some rides, but the real highlight was winning their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle turtles from the duck game.  Colton is already plotting his return next summer!

Our boys enjoyed a fun and busy Saturday.  Colton and Levi started it off with much-needed haircuts and then stopped by to visit Nene and Papa quickly.  Afterwards, the boys were off to the JCC pool to hang with a lot of their best buddies for a few hours.  Colton had a blast going down the yellow slide and playing tag with his friends in the water, while Levi played with his friend Leo.  After taking some good naps, the boys got all spiffied up for family date night at Lubo.

July 6-8, 2014

Whew! Colton and Levi have had a very busy past few days (and unfortunately mom was not very good at documenting them in pictures...).  On Sunday, they spent some time at the JCC pool with Ry, C, and Riley while Dad was our golfing.  Colton finally mustered the courage to try the yellow slide by himself (or in actuality Uncle Ryan tricked him into doing it himself), and loved it...enough to do it again and again and again!  

On Monday, the boys went off to their first day of JCC camp for the summer.  Despite some nerves the night before, both boys were thrilled to see some familiar friends in their bunks and seemed to really enjoy their first (and second) day.  Since dad was home from work, the boys took early naps and then paid a visit to Ocean Breeze.  Per usual, the boys had such a blast, especially as both of them are getting braver and braver each time we visit.  Colton even tried...and loved...the fast green slides this time! (that's not him in the picture, but we figured a picture was necessary to show just how incredible our boy is!)

With dad's birthday on Tuesday, the boys were excited to welcome over family for cake and play time.  As evidenced by their bright red faces below, a fun time was had by all!

July 5, 2014

With Arthur postponing most of our 4th of July plans yesterday, Colton and Levi were eager to celebrate today.  They were up bright and early to ride in Nene and Papa's neighborhood parade.  Levi even managed to win a prize for best boy in the parade (!), and both boys were thrilled to see an ice cream reward at the end.  After that excitement, the boys headed home...well across the street actually...to their neighbor's house for a water slide party. Later, after naps, the boys returned to Nene and Papa's house for a cookout.

June 30- July 1, 2014

Colton and Levi suffered through some errands with mom on Monday, including a trip to the Dollar Store where they managed to pick up some Silly String and water balloons.  To reward their patience, then, mom allowed them to have a bit of a war when they got home!  Later that night, Levi got into another kind of battle with our surround sound speaker.  2 hours at Patient First later, our boy walked out with glue stitches...and instructions to stay out of the water for a few days.

So, with no swimming allowed, the boys headed to Chuck E. Cheese today.  Dad even met them there for a few minutes of play time before they headed home.  After naps, they watched a bit of World Cup soccer, had a visit from Gigi, and played out back on their homemade water pad.

June 27-29, 2014

Colton and Levi kicked off their weekend with a trip to Ocean Breeze on Friday.  Gigi came with them, and both boys were excited to have her there, especially because that meant they could ride some of the big boy slides!  At night, they met Gammy and Pop at Wild Wing for dinner.

Saturday the boys spent some time with dad while mom attended a bridal shower, and at night they stayed home with a babysitter while mom and dad got out for a bit!

On Sunday, Colton and Levi headed to Jungle Golf for an intense round of putt putt.  On the way home, they stopped by Nene and Papa's house to show off their new swimming skills.
